Schedule of Events

Wednesday, February 4th

Theme Camp Build Day

This is an early access build day for art installations and theme camps. It will mostly consist of camp check-in, placement, and half-built infrastructure. If you’re planning on coming on Wednesday, be prepared to work.

Thursday, February 5th

General Admission Day

This is when general admission starts. When you first arrive, you’ll drop your stuff off and head into the registration tent to check in and get a wristband.

From there, you’ll meet with disorientation to figure out where you’re not going. Shuttles will take you and your belongings from the gate to your campsite.

There won’t be too much activity out in the city, since people will mostly still be setting up camp.

Friday, February 6th

Wedding Ceremony

There are some chuckleheads getting married on Friday! We’re aiming for 6:02 pm, but the exact location has not been selected yet. Likely, it will be with a friendly camp that has a large stage area near the front burn field.

At 7:00 pm, a parade will start from the front burn field and snake its way through the event. The full parade route is approximately 2 miles and ends at Miki Beach Camp at the far northeastern part of the event.

The party kicks off with fireworks and a hydro-fire show at 9:00 pm which can be seen from all along the beach.

We will be having a wedding reception for friends and family at Midnight. The reception will most likely be at RES Camp (Rangers, ESD, Sanctuary), and we will have food, cake, music, and dancing.

TIMES AND LOCATIONS ARE LIKELY TO CHANGE. We’ll keep this up-to-date as we learn more:

  • 6:02 PM - Wedding ceremony

    • Bring your cup! And have a snack before the wedding so you’re not hangry

  • 7:00 PM - Parade

  • 9:00 PM - Fireworks and hydro show on the beach

  • Midnight - Wedding Reception, likely at RES Camp

Saturday, February 7th

Effigy Burn

The party is now in full swing. There are all sorts of events during the day and the music is LOUD at night.

The Effigy is burned on Saturday. Between 8 pm and 10 pm there is a Fire Conclave before the burn, where fire dancers perform prior to the burn.

If you want a good view, bring a chair or blanket and come early. Burning the effigy is more celebratory than meditative. Make some noise and have fun!

Sunday, February 8th

Temple Burn

The Temple is burned at sunset on Sunday. This is a very meditative experience and many consider it the highlight of the event. Come early, bring a chair or blanket, and open your heart up to feeling some intense emotions.

There are fireworks at 8:45 pm on the beach, which transitions the evening from silent reverence back into a final night of partying.

Monday, February 9th

Exodus and Afterburn Dinner

Break down camp and pack up. We want to be done and out by 2:00 pm.

Please do a thorough MOOP-sweep. (MOOP stands for Matter-Out-Of-Place.) There is no garbage disposal on-site, so expect to pack everything out with you.

You’ll leave the way you came in, but be aware that the shuttles stop at 2:00 pm, so the sooner you get out, the better. It’s pretty easy to grab an uber at the gate, but you do have to get all of your belongings there first.

If you’re part of the Afterburn wedding party, we have reservations for an intimate dinner at Gianni’s (at the former Versace Mansion) at 7:30 pm.

There will also be a private gathering at the Villa Casa Casaurina that evening for guests with a room at the mansion.
